• Buy gift clothes for baby in a size larger since babies often grow quickly
Remember that the average baby will go through several outfits in one day, especially newborns. You want clothing that is soft and comfortable for baby and quick and easy for parents to pull on and off. You also want to look for clothing that will last through many washes since babies tend to be messy.

Also remember the importance of caring for your baby clothes. Great baby care means washing the clothing regularly in a mild, baby-safe detergent. You will want to wash baby clothing separate from the rest of the family’s wash and in a baby safe detergent or soap to prevent irritation or allergy.
